Well, it's official! We now have a teenager in the house!! Josh turned 13 this past Sat. I can't believe it! How did this happen? He had a great b-day! He requested breakfast burritos for b.f. Half of the family won't eat them so I don't make them very often but he enjoyed them! We decided several years ago that we wouldn't let our kids watch PG-13 movies until they are 13. So guess what he wanted to do all day!?! He and Joe watched a few movies and then Joe & I took him out later that day. He got the iPod he wanted and Grandma & Grandpa came down in the morning and he got some great school clothes! Lastnight we had invited the family over for cake and ice cream and had an incredible turn out! I think we had 22 people here! It was so great and really made Josh feel special! Thanx to everyone for taking the time to come. Josh also got a call from his Grandpa in Lousianna. What a lucky to kid to have so many people who care about him!
We went to the Jr. High to pick up his class schedule last week. That was a new experience. Just a note for anyone doing this in the future...they really won't let you have your son's class schedule if your immunizations are not current. OOPS! I remember getting the note last spring but never did anything about it! So we flew to the Health Dept in record time, got his Tetnas booster and made it back in time to pick up his schedule and find his locker. PHEW! He gets to go this week to 7th grade orientation then back-to-school night. Hopefully after all that he will feel a little more confident about finding his classes. I realized that out of the 10 teachers my kids will have this year I only know 1 of them. Lukas & Amanda are both getting brand new teachers at the elementary. It won't be long now!!!
Josh is such a great kid and I really don't worry too much about him being a teeager. Besides he promised Joe & I that he wouldn't loose his mind! He is such a great help at home and has an amazing testimony. What more can a mom ask for? Love ya bud!
