Princess Night Out

Friday night was Princess Night Out! Since the Barkers have the Annual Disney on Ice newspaper coloring contest rigged (jk) both Erica and Preston won tickets to Princess on Ice. Thinking that Preston wouldn't be very interesting in skating Princess Amanda & I were invited to go with them.

We left around 4:15 so we could get to Salt Lake and get the tickets early. We then went and had dinner at Crown Burger. Robyn and I really had to scratch our heads and wonder where we have gone wrong. Hardley any of the kids touched their french fries!?! What is up with that? I know we have discussed several times in FHE that french fries are an essential food group all of their own! We NEVER leave fries on our plate! Especially when you have the option of the best fry sauce that has ever come out of the Beehive State! And yet, as we surveyed the damage after the feeding frenzy was over, there were enough fries left on the table to feed a third world country. What up? So they kept bringing all the unwanted fries to our table. I'm pretty sure I ate 3 days worth of Weight Watcher points in fries that night!

We left the car at Crown Burger and walked over to the Delta Center or the Energy Problem Solving Place or whatever it is!?! We still had time to kill before they would open the doors so we took some pics and the girls played Red Light, Green Light.

Crazy Princess!

They finally opened the doors and we were able to go inside. We had awesome seats on the 12th row. It was great! The only thing I hate about these events are the evil guys who walk by you 48 times trying to sale you a light up wand, crown or sword for a mere $72.00! Guaranteed to break withing 24 hours! Of course every time they pass by again your child raises the begging to the next level. By the time the show atarts there are kids everywhere in complete histarics. The only ones not in histarics are the kids of the suckers who gave in to the evil scam. I talked Amanda into a $10 waterbottle filled with lemonade and a $5 coloring book. I felt like that was a good compromise. I still had to deal with the occassional "Why can't I have those?" anytime the scam artists came within a 10 ft. range of our seats, but we made it until the show started! Amanda and Brynlee used Brynlee's cotton candy as a pillow between their seats.

The show was great! The costumes and special effects were very impressive! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Barker's for inviting us along for a great night of fun!

While we were gone the boys also had a fun night together. Joe took them to see "College Road Trip" and they also hung out in Fat Cat's for a while. Fun, fun, fun!
