A dream comes true

My crazy sister-in-law, Gwen, is fulfilling a lifetime dream of going to Egypt. She went with her best friend, Pat, and her daughter, Meg. Their trip has actually encompassed Rome, Greece and Egypt and has been an adventure since Day 1. I don't think I could do it. There dosen't seem to be alot of shade there. I can't wait to hear all the details! Here are a few pics and an excerpt from one of her emails.

There are no words to describe our experience here in Egypt!! I have read many books, watched countless videos, and taught this stuff for years, but to actually be there and see it first hand-it has been one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. We went to the Pyramids of Giza, which were stunning. Meg and I went inside one of them, which has an entry about 3 feet tall. We decended 50 yds down steps in a tiny hallway, then probably that far going up stairs to the chamber which held the mummy's sarcoficus. I was handling the Pyramids, the camels, gathering sand, everything until we got to the Sphinx. I was so overtaken, tears just flowed down my cheeks. I felt foolish, but I was so grateful to be there and for this opportunity, I couldn't control my emotions. Then to top it all off, we rode a camel over to the pyramids, and had pictures taken. I could die today and be happy!!

We are totally exhausted. Meg told me that she thought this was going to be a nice relaxing trip with the "Grandmas". She renamed it...."BootCamp Vacationing", I think it is appropriate and I'd better hit the bunk!!
