Catching Up

A few weekends ago we took the kids to Spring City again for the weekend. We left Friday and made a stop at Seven Peaks. Sorry, no pics. We were having too much fun to take any! The boys had a great time on all the slides and Amanda loved the lazy river and wave pool. It was a great way to beat the heat!

We drove to Spring City that night and the kids were glad to be back! The next day was just a lazy day. We just hung out, read books and played games. Later that night we left for the "Mormon Miracle Pageant". We were there before they opend the gates so we had pretty good seats. We walked back into town to a little burger place and had dinner. We walked back to the temple grounds and waited for the show to start. The cast members came down and mingled through the crowd before it started and Amanda wanted her pic taken with all of them! The weather was perfect and it was a cool summer night!

The pageant was great. The kids had never seen it before. When we were waiting for traffic afterwards Joe was asking them how they liked it.

joe: what was your favorite part?
josh: the battle scenes were really cool!
lukas: Captain Moroni
amanda: I THOUGHT THE TEMPLE WAS GOING TO BURN DOWN! (when the volcano erupted)
noah: no respons
joe: noah? what was your favorite part?
noah: the end.
joe: oh the end where the angels were all dressed in white and singing?
noah: no. the end when we got to leave!

Nothing like brutal honesty! We were laughing so hard. I hadn't been for a long time and had kind of forgot that it is more suited for the older kids. The verbage they use is kind of over the little one's heads and it is 90 min. long with no intermission. But all in all it was a great weekend! Thank you again to Aunt Lynda for letting us share in her little piece of paradise!
Playing Golf with the head monkey!

This will really give away my domestic skills but I made waffles (successfully) for the first time. We were given a $2 D.I. waffle iron when we were first married and it was a piece of hud. So I found one in the kitchen and tried it out. My kids were soooo amazed! They thought waffles only came in the frozen form in boxes!

Monkey see, monkey do

Here's something you don't see everyday...a Lifeflight helicopter in a cemetary. I think they're a little late!

Goofball!

How many times do you have to take a pic to get the right one?
One

I love to see the temple!

What an awesome pic of the temple! Anyway cute layout. Maybe someday I'll get the guts to design. Ü
